Ramsay Battin joined Arcapita Ventures in 2005 and has more than 15 years of venture capital, investment banking and entrepreneurial experience. Prior to joining Arcapita, Ramsay was a Partner with Southeastern Technology Fund, a $120 million early and growth stage venture capital firm, where he focused on enterprise and infrastructure software, healthcare technology, internet security and financial technology. Prior to Southeastern, Ramsay served as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development for HomeServ, LLC, an early-stage technology company based in Atlanta. He has also served in the Corporate Finance Departments at Lehman Brothers and Robinson-Humphrey in their private equity and healthcare coverage groups in New York, London and Atlanta. Ramsay is an active leader of the venture capital community in the Southeast, having served as the Co-Chairman of the 2007 Southern Capital Conference, and has also taken active community leadership roles with the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Ramsay currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aspen Aerogels, FrameMax, Prenova and Fidelis SeniorCare, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Best Doctors, RTO Software, Seventh Wave and SPI Dynamics. Ramsay received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and holds his MBA from the Harvard Business School. |
