| OVERVIEW
The Portfolio Management Group’s mission is to assist the Corporate Investment Team and portfolio company management in creating significant value throughout the lifecycle of our investment. On occasion, the team provides similar support for Arcapita's other investments (e.g., Asset-Based Investment). The team is highly focused on identifying all value creation levers and then providing whatever support is required to realize the opportunity. In general, the Portfolio Management Group supports Arcapita’s portfolio companies by:
- Instilling Arcapita’s core processes of Strategy, Operations and People Development;
- Providing Board-level support; and
- Assisting the company’s top management in identifying and addressing key issues.
The Portfolio Management Group is uniquely capable of delivering against this mission because each member has extensive leadership and operating experience as well as extensive experience at top-tier management consulting firms. The core team is supplemented by individuals with world-class expertise in specific functional disciplines as well as a cadre of selected and dedicated consultants with specific industry and functional expertise.
The Portfolio Management team develops detailed short and medium-term targets for each portfolio company against which to measure actual performance. The team provides updates on the performance of each portfolio company on a regular basis for Arcapita's investors and its board of directors.
