OVERVIEW

Shari’ah investing
principles encompass strong corporate governance, environmental stewardship, and societal good.

Our belief in Shari’ah principles means we adopt fair and honorable working practices and conduct ourselves in a socially responsible manner. It’s not simply at the heart of what we do but who we are. We are guided by the following principles:

Ethical standards

Careful consideration is given to the impact they have on society and the environment.

Fairness and transparency

Emphasis is placed on fairness and transparency. For example, risks must be fairly allocated and no interest should be given or received.

Contractual clarity

Contracts must avoid uncertainty and ambiguity to ensure the underlying investments and the contractual terms and conditions related thereto are clearly agreed.
